Abstract

The present disclosure is related to fluorescent sensors for the detection of anions with importance as is the iodide; these sensors offer advantages over conventional methods for the determination of low concentrations. Thus, the present invention is related to the field of synthesis and application of molecular sensors useful in the detection and quantification of ionic type species relevant in the medical, diagnostic, industrial areas in general, and chemical environmental determinations. The invention describes a novel compound for the quantification of iodide under physiological conditions with application in urine analysis by fluorescence spectroscopy.
