Abstract
La presente invención describe un filtro que comprende un tubo que se extiende desde un primer extremo hasta un segundo extremo y que tiene un orificio con un área interna en sección transversal. El tubo comprende una entrada con un área de entrada en sección transversal que se coloca a través del primer extremo del tubo. El tubo también comprende una salida con un área de salida en sección transverasl, en donde el área de entrada en sección transversal es menor que el área de salida en sección transverasl, y por tanto los desechos suficientemente pequeños para entrar en la entrada tenderán a no bloquear la salida, que es mayor. El filtro comprende además una pluralidda de entradas adicionales, con frecuencia ranuras, en el tubo entre el lado exterior del mismo y el orificio. En una modalidad preferida, el primer extremo puede ser ahusado y especialmente en forma de domo. Esto ayuda a dirigir los desechos hacia el lado exterior del tubo, en donde es menos probable que se atraigan hacia el filtro y potencialmente lo bloqueen o a un componente corriente abajo, tal como una boquilla. El filtro puede unirse a una tubería y a una boquilla.
