Abstract

The present invention proposes the water purification by thermo-solar desalination based on a solar heating thermosiphon concept in a double-tank membrane, which comprises of a hollow fiber membrane module, organic or inorganic, microporous and hydrophobic. Also, it involves a cylindrical receiver internal tank covered by peaks, thus favoring the condensation and an external heat exchange tank, micro-porous filled with granular organic or inorganic material, thus acting as a heat pump. The double-tank membrane operates according to the following mechanisms: a) heating the water in the solar panel tubes for supplying the hollow fibers circuit, b) the evaporated water crosses the membranes c) for condensing it in the receiver tank, favored by the collectors and the cooling of the internal receiving tank. d) The purified water collects in the receiver tank outlet part, e) and a fraction of the filtered water serves as a heat exchange fluid in the microporous tank, thus vaporizing to the outside and creating a heat pump.
