Abstract
Un sistema y método para optimizar llamadas de grupo grande utilizando portadoras de transporte de difusión unidireccional y multidireccional para servicios de Pulsa y Habla a través de Celular (PoC). Uno o más servidores hacen interfaz con una red inalámbrica de comunicaciones para llevar a cabo servicios avanzados de voz para unidades móviles en la misma, incluyendo la sesión de llamada de PoC. Los servidores y unidades móviles se comunican entre los mismos utilizando mensajes de control, y los servidores conmutan mensajes de voz entre las unidades móviles. Al menos uno de los servidores administra la sesión de llamada de PoC al actuar como un árbitro, y controla el envío de los mensajes de control y los mensajes de voz hacia y desde las unidades móviles. El servidor lleva a cabo entrega de difusión unidireccional y multidireccional de los mensajes de control y los mensajes de voz hacia y desde las unidades móviles, habilitando de esta manera la llamada de grupo grande que involucra un número grande de participantes con uso optimizado de red y recursos del servidor.
