Abstract
Se presenta un sistema automático de detección de edad que emplea un montaje de conductor de monitoreo de paciente y un dispositivo de monitoreo de paciente. En operación, el montaje de conductor de monitoreo de paciente conduce la actividad eléctrica del corazón de un paciente hacia un dispositivo de monitoreo de paciente. En respuesta a lo mismo, el dispositivo de monitoreo de paciente clasifica al paciente como un paciente adulto o un paciente pediátrico como una función de las características de electrocardiograma que son derivadas de las mediciones de electrocardiograma de la actividad eléctrica cardiaca. El dispositivo de monitoreo de paciente además podría estimar la edad como una función de las características de electrocardiograma. La clasificación facilita la aplicación adecuada de un análisis de adulto o un análisis pediátrico de la actividad eléctrica cardiaca.
