Abstract

The invention relates to a mobile device for monitoring environmental conditions, which device can be coupled using a clip type mechanism to any type of conventional helmet belonging to a user, without a new helmet having to be acquired. The device comprises sensors for monitoring environmental conditions and an impact sensor that raises an alarm if the user falls. The device can also include a second system for attaching same to the helmet, defined by a harness, said device further including warning lights and audible alarms depending on the environmental conditions, as well as indicating when communication with the worker has been lost. The invention also includes a monitoring system comprising the mobile monitoring device, fixed monitoring devices, a central coordinator, a central server, and a central platform in two-way communication for establishing actions based on the measurements obtained by the fixed and mobile devices.
