Abstract
En un ejemplo, un dispositivo para procesar datos de video incluye una memoria para almacenar una capa de mejora de datos de video codificados de acuerdo con una extensión de un estándar de codificación de video, y uno o más procesadores configurados para descifrar un descriptor de extensión de jerarquía para un flujo elemental que incluye la capa de mejora, en donde el descriptor de extensión de jerarquía incluye datos representativos de dos o más capas de referencia de las cuales depende la capa de mejora, en donde dichas dos o más capas de referencia incluyen una primera capa de mejora, que se ajusta a una primera dimensión de escalabilidad, y una segunda capa de mejora, que se ajusta a una segunda dimensión de escalabilidad, y en donde la primera dimensión de escalabilidad es diferente a la segunda dimensión de escalabilidad, y procesar los datos de video con base al menos en parte en los datos representativos de dichas dos o más capas de referencia.
