Abstract
La presente invención está diseñada para proveer un enfoque adaptativo para eliminar distorsiones de tiempo/fase de período corto dentro de un proceso de continuación descendente que es un componente fundamental de los algoritmos de migración sísmica. Usando técnicas análogas a las correcciones estáticas residuales que se usan para el procesamiento sísmico estándar, un enfoque de la invención estima y elimina los efectos de las rupturas de velocidad de longitud de onda corta, creando de ese modo imágenes sísmicas más claras de la subsuperficie de la tierra. Además, el presente método provee un modelo de velocidad actualizado que se puede usar para obtener otro mejoramiento de la imagen.
