Abstract

The invention relates to a method for obtaining haploid plants of the genus Jatropha curcas, which allows healthy individuals to be obtained from the somatic embryogenesis of ovarian tissue from unfertilised, treated inflorescences of said species. The method comprises a series of steps and means of culturing which, specifically, allow a large quantity of haploid plants to be obtained from a single parental line, with a high rate of success and viability.
