Abstract
The present disclosure is related to an energy recovery flexible pad for rigid railways without ballast, incorporating the technology to achieve the conversion of wasted mechanical energy from deflection and deformation, into recoverable electric energy by means of piezoelectric materials contained in the design, these piezoelectric materials will transmit the electrical energy by means of cables to an exploitation or storage device. The pad is specially designed so that the structure of the same resists the exerted loads of the track. The pad has a contour design that allows the use of various fixing systems to the track. Because of this, the flexible energy recovery pad is an innovative invention that also promotes the sustainability and efficiency of the railway industry.
