Abstract

The present disclosure is related to an articulated chassis for a hospital bed, comprising a lower rolling frame with rectangular configuration, whose length and width dimensions correspond to those of the hospital bed that is desired to integrate. Said frame comprises a wheel at each of its four corners and integrates a fifth wheel in its longitudinal-transversal central part, allowing the displacement and mobility of the chassis as a whole. At the same time, the structural strength allows the arrangement of a lifting and rotation mechanism; a lifting mechanism arranged and secured on the lower rolling frame, consisting of a front slider system and a rear slider system which together form a six-bar kinematic system; a system from which the lifting and lowering movements are achieved, inclination of the head section and inclination of the foot section of the hospital bed which is configured on the chassis; and a panning or rotation mechanism, configured from a lower frame which is arr anged above the lifting mechanism, supporting in a tilting manner, by means of two bearings, an upper frame, where, on said upper frame, in the front and rear central part, a first and second bolts are configured and respectively inserted into the first and second bearings of the lower frame to achieve a lateral rotation movement to the left and to the right.
