Abstract
The coffee bean is known by containing a 13-15% (dry basis) of oil, including linoleic acid as the most abundant fatty acid. The linoleic acid is doubly unsaturated, which combined in a proportion of 20 to 50% with a 50 to 80% of imidazoline, provides improved adhesion to metal surfaces. Therefore, the present invention is considered interesting to synthesize imidazoline derivatives based on coffee oil, in which the oil used to synthesize is extracted from the coffee bagasse.
