Abstract

Se proporcionan un proceso y un dispositivo con los cuales se evitan los problemas expuestos para producir una corriente de partículas aleantes a temperaturas superiores a los 400 °C eventualmente empleada para alear o tratar químicamente a corrientes de metales líquidos. La invención que se expone comprende una cámara calentada con uno o más quemadores de gas, donde se recibe una corriente de partículas aleantes con el gasto másico o volumétrico preestablecido manualmente o mediante el empleo de un dosificador gravimétrico o volumétrico, que opera a temperatura ambiente y ubicado en una zona por encima de la cámara. Estas partículas son calentadas por la radiación de las paredes de la cámara y por la radiación y convección de las flamas de los quemadores que las arrastran durante su vuelo al interior del dispositivo, durante su permanencia en la cámara. Como resultado del empleo del dispositivo y del proceso propuesto, que se traducen en una gran cantidad de energía recibida durante su paso a través del dispositivo, las partículas aleantes alcanzan la temperatura requerida, previa a su incorporación a una corriente metálica.
