Abstract

La invención proporciona formulaciones y métodos para mejorar el crecimiento de las plantas y el rendimiento de los cultivos. Más específicamente, la presente invención se relaciona con composiciones que comprenden el compuesto de LCO sintético tetra-N-acil-beta-D-metil-glucósido (TAMG) y los compuestos relacionados de Fórmula I. El TAMG puede aplicarse a materiales de propagación vegetal, que incluyen semillas y otras partes regenerables de la planta, que incluyen esquejes, bulbos, rizomas y tubérculos. El TAMG puede aplicarse, además, al follaje, o al suelo ya sea antes o después de la siembra de los materiales de propagación vegetal. Dichas aplicaciones pueden realizarse solas o en combinación con fungicidas, insecticidas, nematocidas y otros agentes agrícolas usados para mejorar el crecimiento de las plantas y el rendimiento de los cultivos. El TAMG puede mejorar el rendimiento agronómico de una variedad de cultivos que incluyen cebada, canola, maíz, papa, soya y trigo.
