Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para proporcionar una barrera en un sistema que contiene fracturas, que comprende: i) proporcionar un fluido de tratamiento que comprende: a) un fluido base; b) un material elastomérico, en donde el material elastomérico comprende al menos un polímero capaz de reticularse en un elastómero, y c) al menos un agente reticulador; ii) colocar el fluido de tratamiento en un sistema que contiene fracturas; iii) permitir que el material elastomérico se reticule con el mismo y con el agente reticulador para formar una barrera en el sistema que contiene fracturas; en donde el material elastomérico y/o el agente reticulador son de flotabilidad neutra con respecto al fluido base. Se contempla que la invención tiene utilidad no sólo en la industria de perforación de petróleo sino también en el taponamiento de fracturas en desagües de alcantarillado, tuberías, etc.
