Abstract
Se proporciona un sistema para la medición de la polarización inducida espectral de una formación. El sistema proporciona un módulo inteligente que puede ser utilizado para realizar mediciones de la polarización inducida espectral (SIP) en estudios geofísicos u otros. El sistema incluye un instrumento que incluye una carcasa configurada para ser insertada en una abertura en la superficie. La carcasa contiene un generador de señal que genera una señal de excitación. Un electrodo conductor dirige la señal de excitación al material adyacente en la carcasa. Una pluralidad de electrodos detectan el voltaje y/o la corriente en el material adyacente en la carcasa y un procesador procesa el voltaje y/o corriente detectados para medir una propiedad del material. El sistema también proporciona una configuración en la que una pluralidad de instrumentos configurados para las mediciones de la polarización inducida espectral están interconectados para proporcionar comunicación, sincronización, una señal común de referencia o potencia.
