Abstract

La presente invención está relacionada con un compuesto que incluye (a) a-L-iduronidasa (IDUA), un fragmento o análogo de la misma, y (b) una fracción que apunta, por ejemplo donde el compuesto es una proteína de fusión que incluye IDUA y Angiopep-2. En ciertas formas de realización estos compuestos, debido a la presencia de la fracción que apunta, pueden cruzar la barrera hematoencefálica o acumularse en el lisosoma de manera más efectiva que la enzima sola. La invención también se refiere a métodos para tratar mucopolisacaridosis tipo I (MPS-I) usando tales compuestos.
