Abstract

The invention refers to a an electronic device for localizing and communicating with vehicles through a communication protocol between vehicles, which stores and shares information with other vehicles by means of radio frequency signals. The invention refers to a communication protocol between vehicles, which allows data to be exchanged between vehicles without knowing the target information. The advantage of using localization information in mobile vehicles is that the routing may be light and efficient. In addition, error packages are not considered in this type of protocols. The aforementioned characteristic is possible as the vehicle in question only requires knowing the information about the neighbor and target vehicles. In the geolocalization-based routing algorithms, the packages are sent to the network through the intermediate vehicles, where a local decision has to be made in each one of said vehicles for sending the packages to the neighbor vehicle that is geographically clo ser to the target vehicle. Since the sent packages do not involve any global information, the amount of information sent to a specific target is substantially reduced, this also reducing the possibility of breaking the communication links in intermediate vehicles. This advantage allows the geographical routing to be scaled and operated in network environments used by vehicles with high mobility.
