Abstract
Un método para la repotenciación de una planta de amoníaco alimentada con gas natural que incluye un reformador primario (11) y un reformador secundario (12), método éste que incluye al menos las siguientes intervenciones: la reducción de la temperatura de salida del gas (17) que sale del reformador primario; la adición de una línea de alimentación de oxígeno esencialmente puro (30) dirigida al reformador secundario (12), a los fines de reemplazar al menos parcialmente el aire comburente del proceso; la adición de una línea de inyección de nitrógeno (31) en una cantidad necesaria para obtener un gas de reposición adecuado para la síntesis de amoníaco.
