Abstract

Se describe una salmuera de alta densidad, transparente, para usar en operaciones de terminación en una formación subterránea para la recuperación de hidrocarburos. La salmuera comprende un compuesto iónico seleccionado del grupo que consiste de yoduro de zinc, bromuro de estroncio, yoduro de estroncio, bromuro de cerio, yoduro de cerio, cloruro de cerio, bromuro de lantano, yoduro de lantano, cloruro de lantano, y mezclas de los mismos. La salmuera puede también ventajosamente ser usada como la fase interna de los fluidos de perforación de emulsión inversa.
