Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con equipos medico de curación, más específicamente con equipo médico para la extracción y drenado de fluidos alojados dentro de la vejiga de un paciente. La sonda o catéter Foley de esta invención presenta en su diseño una tubería, de mínimo dos lúmenes, elaborada de material polimérico biocompatible con una longitud entre 100 y 400 mm, con diámetros externos entre los rangos de 1 a 15 mm. La tubería en su superficie presenta una textura en alto relieve con altura máxima de 30 micrómetros y con patrones diseñados para generar la propiedad de hidrofobicidad y reducir la adherencia de bacterias en dicha superficie. En el extremo distal de la punta de la tubería se encuentra pegado a ésta un embudo recolector de mínimo dos vías y elaborado de material polimérico grado médico, mientras que la punta de la tubería se cierra de manera que forma una punta redondeada. Anterior a la punta se localiza un balón inflable flexible necesario para el funcionamiento de anclaje de la sonda.
