Abstract

The present invention consists in a flat compass for woodworking and ironworking, which allows curve traces and circles to be performed with great accuracy, which is easily and practically used and easily stored. The invention comprises a body graduated in centimeters and inches in the edges thereof, which are embossed for improving the reading and durability thereof. Said graduations have a common origin, where a nail is used as an axis in woodworking and a nail or an electrode with tip in ironworking. The graduations are of 1 cm in the centimeters section and of ¼ in the inches section. Each graduation unit has a perforation for performing the corresponding trace, in woodworking using a pencil, and in ironworking a pencil or an electrode with tip. The invention also has an extra unique adjustment orifice for fractioning to half the measuring units in both systems, having an orifice for the two axis systems. Depending on the tracing needs, the body may have variable dimensions.

Description

COMPASS RULE FOR CARPENTRY AND WOODWORK TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention corresponds to the area of everyday necessities of life, since it is a flat compass for carpentry and blacksmithing that allows to make traces of curves and circles with great accuracy.
BACKGROUND In craft activities such as carpentry or blacksmithing, tools or work tools are required that provide ease of use and accuracy when used in the different processes of these activities, such as cutting, carving, engraving, among others, in order to obtain a finished product of high quality, precision, functionality and aesthetics.
To make strokes or engravings, the compass of thread is usually used, which is composed of an axis, a thread and a marker, but the variant of the components - which are even flexible - results in little precision. A fixed bar is also used that consists of a rod of a single measurement that is rotated around a point, in which it is necessary to cut it and join it again to make each measurement, which is not very functional.
Another way to solve the problem is using traditional compasses, which have good precision but little stroke capacity (length).
Therefore, it is desirable to have a single tool that combines the ability to trace with the precision in it to facilitate the work of carpentry and blacksmithing.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention consists of a flat compass for carpentry and blacksmithing that allows tracing of curves and circles with great accuracy, which is easy to use and practical and easy to store.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The characteristic details of this rule are clearly shown in the following description and in the accompanying Figures, following the reference numbers to indicate the parts shown.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES Figure 1 is a front view of the rule, where you can see: (1) Graduations in centimeters. (2) Graduations in inches. (3) Orifice of common origin. (4) Drilling for strokes. (5) Extra hole of unique adjustment.
Figure 2 is an isometric view of the ruler.
This rule is composed of a body with graduations on the sides in centimeters (1) and inches (2), enhanced the body of the rule for better reading and durability. These graduations have a common origin (3), where a nail is used as a carpentry nail, and in blacksmithing, a nail also or a pointed electrode. The graduations are 1 cm in centimeters (1) and ¼ "in inches (2). In each graduation unit, it has a perforation (4) to make the corresponding stroke, for carpentry with a pencil, for blacksmithing it can also be a pencil or a pointed electrode. It also has a hole extra single adjustment (5) to divide half of the units of measurement in both systems; and has a hole for the two shaft systems. Depending on the needs of stroke, the body can have the following dimensions: With the characteristic rule of this invention are drawn curves and circles from 0 to 360 degrees, and from 2 cm to 2 meters in diameter, easy to use and very accurate, in all types of carpentry and blacksmith construction, such as furniture, templates, facades, among others.

Claims (6)

CLAIMS Having sufficiently described my invention, I consider it a novelty and therefore claim as my exclusive property the content of the following claims:
1. A device for drawing curves and circles characterized in that it comprises: - A longitudinal body with a plurality of holes in its surface; Y - Graduations in its lateral parts, where said graduations have a common origin in a hole where an axis is placed to make the strokes.
2. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the graduations are in centimeters or inches.
3. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the graduations are 1 cm in centimeters and ¼ "in inches.
4. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that in each graduation unit, it has a perforation to perform the trace.
5. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that it has an extra hole of unique adjustment to divide half of the units of measurement in both systems.
6. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that it allows tracing of curves and circles from 0 to 360 degrees, and from 2 cm to 2 meters in diameter. The device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is a compass rule to make traces of curves and circles.
