Abstract
Se describen métodos y sistemas computacionales para el monitoreo de una reserva de petróleo; se utiliza un sondeo de referencia para generar datos de referencia para una reserva de petróleo; subsecuentes sondeos de monitoreo generan datos de monitoreo en diferentes etapas de producción sobre la reserva; los datos de referencia se reconstruyen como si se adquirieran en las ubicaciones de las fuentes y receptores de los sondeos de monitoreo, y los datos de monitoreo se reconstruyen como si se adquirieran en las mismas ubicaciones de las fuentes y receptores del sondeo de referencia; para cada sondeo de monitoreo, dos grupos de datos de diferencias en cuatro dimensiones ("4D") se generan a partir de los datos de referencia y de monitoreo y a partir de los datos reconstruidos; los grupos de datos de diferencias en 4D se combinan para reducir el fondo y producir datos de señales en 4D que proveen una interpretación confiable y precisa de la actividad de producción en la reserva.
