Abstract
A method for purifying rhodium and obtaining rhodium sulfate, which comprises: merging rhodium by injecting chloride gas and obtaining a solid mass; dissolving the solid mass with ACS acid; recovering the liquid part; precipitating the metals different from rhodium with nitrite; recovering the liquid part; precipitating rhodium with a solution saturated of hot ammonium chloride; dissolving the precipitated rhodium in powder with hydrochloric acid; obtaining a mass containing the rhodium; letting to dry; again dissolving the rhodium mass, but now with sulfuric acid; obtaining a mass rich in rhodium; dissolving the mass rich in rhodium with sulfuric acid; filtrating with activated coal for removing organic pollutants; and analyzing the color and content of the obtained rhodium. The invention refers to the rhodium sulfate obtained by the present invention and an electrolytic solution comprising the obtained rhodium sulfate.
