Abstract

La unidad de control para sistemas de supervisión y monitoreo del suministro de energía eléctrica cuenta con varios elementos, entre ellos un arreglo matricial de bases de conexión de alta potencia situados en el interior de un gabinete de seguridad diseñado específicamente para esta aplicación el cual es hermético y cuenta además con una serie de dispositivos de seguridad activos y pasivos para evitar tanto la apertura no autorizada del gabinete, como la posibilidad de que alguna persona se electrocute al tocar alguna superficie que pudiera estar conectada a alto voltaje, además cuenta con medidores modulares que se asignan a un determinado usuario por cada fase de energía eléctrica que este quiera usar, estos medidores se insertan en las bases de conexión y al hacerlo adquieren la energía eléctrica necesaria para su funcionamiento y la capacidad para controlar y medir la energía que de esta fase se le proporciona al usuario, la naturaleza modular de los medidores y la matriz de bases de conexión, permiten armar todo tipo de modalidad de suministro de energía eléctrica para cada usuario o cliente en particular ya sea monofásica, bifásica o trifásica y también le asigna automáticamente un código de identificación al usuario y todos los componentes remotos que éste emplee para complementar y optimizar el uso de su suministro de energía eléctrica, este código se emplea para individualizar las comunicaciones, los medidores modulares cuentan con sistemas de comunicación de rango local, vecinal y hasta nacional, lo que permite que desde una oficina central de la compañía suministradora de energía eléctrica se pueda saber cuánta energía ha consumido un cliente, cual es el estado de la instalación y también darle avisos al usuario respecto de la fecha de pago, la cantidad a pagar por el servicio anunciarle el corte del servicio por falta de pago y también se puede remotamente cortar el servicio y volver a conectarlo cuando sea necesario, mediante un relevador biestable controlado por la unidad de control digital del medidor modular, así mismo la unidad de control y monitoreo puede proveerle al usuario del servicio, monitores para saber en tiempo real cual ha sido su consumo y cuanto tendrá que pagar y también puede incorporar el usuario unidades de control remoto para prender o apagar luces o calefacción y otros elementos eléctricos remotamente. Todos los medidores modulares cuentan con varios puertos ópticos que le permiten comunicarse con una unidad central de control donde toda la información concerniente a cada uno de los usuarios se concentra y un puerto óptico al exterior permite interrogar a la unidad central de control, darle órdenes o analizar su estado desde el exterior sin necesidad de romper los sellos o abrir las cerraduras de la puerta del gabinete. El gabinete modular de medidores cuenta con un sistema de cerradura muy sofisticado que combina pernos de candado con pernos de ruptura y candados testigo para que la compañía proveedora de energía eléctrica tenga un mejor control. Las bases de conexión y los medidores modulares tienen un diseño geométrico que hace imposible una conexión equivocada pero al mismo tiempo la geometría de la envolvente de los medidores permite insertarlos directamente en los bancos de calibración tipo ANSI que el gobierno y las compañías proveedoras de energía eléctrica utilizan para certificar los medidores.
