Abstract
The present invention is related to the design of multi-purpose peptides and the therapeutic use thereof, which provides peptides that comprise one of the sequences derived from the a-pheromone of Saccharomyces cerevisia. Said peptides have antibacterial and anti-parasite activity. The invention also provides the pharmaceutical composition that comprises the peptide as active agent in an effective amount and the method for producing the peptide, where the peptide sequence of the alpha pheromone of Saccharomyces cerevisiae includes natural amino acids.
