Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con mejoras en dispositivos de seguridad que pueden utilizarse en varias aplicaciones de autentificación o seguridad, y en particular con un dispositivo de seguridad ópticamente variable que utiliza múltiples capas de cambio de color. El dispositivo de seguridad comprende una primera capa de cambio de color y una segunda capa de cambio de color, la cual presenta diferentes características de reflexión que la primera capa de cambio de color. Una primera capa de absorción parcial de luz se encuentra entre las primeras superficies de las primera y segunda capas de cambio de color y una segunda capa de absorción de luz se aplica a una segunda superficie de la segunda capa de cambio de color. El color de la primera capa de absorción parcial se selecciona para sustancialmente coincidir el color de luz reflejado en un ángulo normal de incidencia mediante la combinación de la segunda capa de cambio de color y la segunda capa de absorción.
