Abstract
Equipment and method for opening and closing an automatic valve installed in the discharge line of an oil well, which is characterised in that equipment is installed and configured for controlling an automatic valve located in the discharge line of the casing of an oil well. Said oil well comprises a progressive cavity pump system intended to pump the hydrocarbon towards the storing tank through the production piping, where the level of the hydrocarbon is maintained by the system within the well for a better production. The equipment installed in the oil well has three pressure transmitters located in the discharge lines of the production piping, casing and the discharge line led to a storing tank close to the well. Additionally, the storing tank comprises a radar-type level transmitter for monitoring the production of the oil well. The engine of the progressive cavity pump includes a proximity inductive sensor for monitoring the operation of the progressive cavity pump. All the trans mitters and the inductive sensor are connected to a cabinet that includes the devices that register and record the operation of the system, having a battery and a solar panel recharge system. The method mainly consists in characterising the behaviour of the well pressures and the hydrocarbon production during a predetermined period of time for analysing the data and determining a higher or lower pressure configuration in the casing, which allows for a higher production of hydrocarbon reflected in the tank level. Once the operation pressures to be maintained in the casing are obtained , the equipment is configured for automatically opening or closing the automatic valve in order to maintain the pressure and obtain a higher production level of hydrocarbon in the storing tank.
