Abstract

La eficiencia de fósforo aplicado puede mejorarse aplicando fósforo como un revestimiento en el crecimiento de plantas (raíces y brotes) o aplicando fósforo como un revestimiento sobre granos o gránulos de otras formas de fertilizantes. La composición comprende (a) fosfato de monoamonio, (b) estruvita y (c) sulfato de magnesio. Los dos primeros ingredientes aseguran que hay una fuente de fósforo rápidamente disponible (MAP) yuan fuente de fósforo más lentamente disponible (STRUV). El tercer ingrediente es proveer una fuente de sulfato que en el área circundante al producto revestido después de la aplicación del mismo al suelo, actuará para detener el calcio del ambiente para que no reaccione con el fosfato volviéndolo así inactivo.
