Abstract

Códigos de identificación de lote marcados en empaque, comprenden un número fijo de dígitos con sub sartas que representan cada uno de una fecha, una SKU, un número de lote y opcionalmente una línea y una suma de verificación o control. El mismo número fijo de dígitos se emplea para los códigos de identificación de lote empleados por múltiples productores en toda una industria, o a través de múltiples industrias. Los códigos de identificación de lotes por lo tanto son fácilmente reconocibles por motores de búsqueda y de otra forma reducen el número de etapas requeridas para que los consumidores y otros sobre la cadena de suministro obtengan información específica de lote respecto a los artículos empacados. Adicionalmente, cuando un individuo envía un código de identificación de lote, permite una oportunidad para recolectar información respecto al producto en este punto sobre la cadena de suministro. La información puede enlazar la calidad del producto al tiempo y sitio de la solicitud al tiempo y sitio del envasado o empacado.
