Abstract
Un sistema de generación de energía incluye un montaje de turbina de combustión (11) que tiene un compresor principal (12) el cual recibe aire de entrada ambiente, una turbina de expansión principal (14), un combustor principal (16), y un generador eléctrico (15), para generar energía eléctrica. Un almacenamiento de aire (18') tiene un volumen para almacenar aire comprimido. Una fuente de humedad (23, 34, 42) humidifica el aire comprimido que sale del almacenamiento de aire y de esta manera proporciona aire comprimido humidificado. Un cambiador de calor (24) reside una fuente de calor y el aire comprimido humidificado a fin de calentar el aire comprimido humidificado. Un expansor de aire (30) expande el aire comprimido humidificado y caliente a presión atmosférica de descarga, para producir energía adicional y permite que una porción de flujo de aire expandida por el expansor de aire, se inyecte al montaje de turbina de combustión para aumentar la energía. Un generador eléctrico (31) se asocia con el expansor de aire para producir energía eléctrica adicional. La humidificación de aire comprimido reduce el volumen del almacenamiento de aire comprimido para la misma energía almacenada/generada.
