Abstract

The present invention is a cover that protects footwear from the weather elements without interfering with the functionality of such footwear. The waterproof cover fits the footwear by the sides, rear and front without covering the lower sole of the footwear. The waterproof cover extends to the ankle of the user. The cover for footwear adheres to the footwear with a double-side adhesive tape located on the inner perimeter of the waterproof cover. The double-side adhesive tape has a removable liner that protects the tape before the use. The liner should be removed prior to adhering to the footwear. The cover for footwear adapts and adjusts to any size of footwear.

Description

COVER WATERPROOF FOOTWEAR OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention is to provide a footwear cover that serves to protect the footwear or shoe and the foot of water, dust and mud from the outside without interfering in the functionality thereof. This attachment adapts to the footwear by its side, back, front and top sides without covering the sole of the same and reaching up to the top of the ankle.
BACKGROUND The covers-footwear have existed for a long time and have been modified over the years. Initially they were created to protect from dirt and dust when the streets were not paved, then impermeable coverings were created that protected the footwear from the mud and water as shown in the United States patent 4,713,895 which refers to a covers footwear that is attached to the footwear in some parts of it with sailboat material, the footwear has a part of the sailboat and the attachment holds the counterpart in some areas of the shoe, protecting it only from the dust since being of sailboat, water and the mud is filtered between the fabric and wet the shoe, the sock and the foot, because it is not adhered to the entire periphery and therefore not completely impermeable.
U.S. Patent 2,099,476 which consists of an attachment that is attached to the shoe by means of a footboard that passes under the sole of the footwear and has metal fasteners that secure it to the sole and that help keep the attachment in place. the shoe, this attachment protects the shoe from dust on its upper part without being waterproof, since between the clasps there are large areas without adhering to the shoe.
U.S. Patent 2,151,350 discloses a footwear that is secured by means of several footboards that pass under the sole and which help to maintain the attachment in the footwear. Like the patent cited above, it has large areas of the lower edge that do not have adhesion with the shoe and allow the entry of water and dust.
U.S. Patent 2,447,284 which refers to a shoe covering with elastic which partially covers the shoe, leaving the heel free and covering the front of the sole interfering with its functionality.
U.S. Patent 7,464,487 which refers to a footwear cover only for soccer cleats having the holes for them that are in the sole of the footwear.
Many improvements have been generated and perfected for sports shoes especially for runners seeking among other things permeability, ventilation and protection against dust, mud and water from the outside, as the runners practice in any weather condition and almost on any surface, regardless of inclement weather, however we have not seen them use a shoe cover to protect their shoes, but above all to protect their feet from moisture, dust and mud. There are footwear covers for use in hospitals and for motorcyclists, but there is no product on the market that protects runners who practice this sport from rain or mud regularly, without interfering with the functionality of the footwear and without the traction of The sole of the sports shoe will be affected.
The present invention has a double-sided adhesive tape placed on the inner side of its lower edge that will allow, in a single step, to adhere the product and adjust it to the size of the shoe, covering from the periphery of the sole to the top of the ankle, helping the water, mud and dust do not penetrate the footwear and it is impermeable.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES Figure 1 shows a drawing of the footwear cover object of the present invention.
Figure 2 presents an isometric drawing of the footwear cover and the manner of placing it on a sports shoe.
Figure 3 is an isometric drawing of the footwear cover placed on a sports shoe.
Figure 4 is a side drawing of the shoe cover where it is seen how it is placed in the shoe ready for use.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a footwear attachment that adheres to the shoe with a double-sided adhesive tape that is integrated into the footwear cover on the inner periphery of the footwear cover (1). This shoe covers the shoe covering its sides, back, front and top.
It is preferably made of a light plastic laminate material such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polymers of the families of polyamides or polyolefins, this material is porous by means of meso or nanopores so that it allows the evaporation of the sweat to pass out, but at the same time it is impermeable to the passage of water, mud and dust inside the footwear, thus preventing these elements from coming into contact with the foot, which serves to protect the foot. the weather, without interfering in the functionality of the shoe, since this shoe cover (1) reaches the peripheral edge of the sole (6), without having contact with the bottom face of the shoe or interfering with the traction it provides, Nor does it interfere with the flexibility and comfort of footwear, making the shoe waterproof and protecting the foot from moisture, mud and dust.
This shoe cover attachment (1) can be used in any shoe and weather condition, although it is preferably designed for sports shoes, used in events in which such weather conditions are adverse to competitors or in steeplechase or cross country competitions.
As already mentioned, the footwear covers a double-sided adhesive tape (2) and (3), located on the entire internal perimeter of the same shoe cover (1) that will be attached to the side edge of the sole, which causes the shoe (5) to be sealed inside the shoe cover (1). The side part of the footwear cover is also sealed with double-sided tape (3) on the outside of the foot from the periphery of the sole (6) to the upper part of the ankle where the drawstring (4) is located. The adhesive tape has a removable cover (not shown in the figures) that protects it before use and must be removed to adhere to the footwear.
At the upper edge of the footwear cover (1) there is a drawstring (4) that adjusts the footwear cover by pulling the strap of said drawstring (4) as far as the user wishes and knotting it, at the height of the upper part of the ankle and by the external part of it. The footwear covers and adapts to the size of any shoe, depending on the user, being preferably disposable and biodegradable.
