Abstract

Solar collector for concentrating and converting the direct solar radiation into a primary source of thermal energy for the production of vapour from two independent generation systems under a solar mode or in a hybrid solar-biogas form within the order of the 80°C to 250°C of temperature. The systems may be used for industrial processes, desalination, pasteurization, sterilization, distillation, chemical processes, refrigeration or air conditioning of spaces by absorption or adsorption amongst others. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an alternate solution to fossil fuel problems, thus generating new forms for generating vapour using renewable sources of power such as the solar energy and the biomass using easily assembled solar collecting devices, with a minimum of material, which are light and do not require maintenance. The present invention is mainly intended for the use of clean and renewable power sources and the development of efficient and affordable systems which do not damage the environment and solve the needs of a determined situation. The technical and economic characteristics involved in the novel configuration turn the designs into an excellent option for any of the aforementioned applications.
