Abstract

A gas-separation membrane assembly (101, 201, 301) and a gas-separation process using the assembly. The assembly incorporates multiple gas-separation membranes in an array (118, 218a-d, 318a-d) within a single vessel or housing (102, 202, 302), and is equipped with two permeate ports (207, 208, 307, 308) enabling permeate gas to be withdrawn from both ends of the membrane module permeate pipes (221, 325).
