Abstract

Se proporciona un método para hacer un artículo recubierto tratado térmicamente (HT) para utilizarse en aplicaciones de puertas para ducha, aplicaciones de ventanas o cualquier otra aplicación adecuada donde se desean artículos recubiertos transparentes. El método puede incluir tratar térmicamente un substrato de vidrio recubierto con por lo menos una capa de o que incluye carbón tipo diamante (DLC) u otro tipo de carbón, con una capa de barrera de oxígeno proporcionada sobre la misma directa o indirectamente. Opcionalmente, una capa de liberación de un material tal como óxido de zinc o similares se puede proporcionar entre la capa de barrera de oxígeno y el DLC. En ciertas modalidades ejemplares, el contenido de oxígeno de por lo menos parte de la película protectora cuando se deposita puede ser determinado en base a si la superficie recubierta debe ser doblada de una manera convexa, debe ser doblada de una manera cóncava o debe permanecer plana. Después del tratamiento térmico, el cual puede incluir el doblamiento de la superficie recubierta en una forma convexa o cóncava, y el enfriamiento rápido, la película protectora puede ser retirada por medio del lavado o similares. La figura más representativa de la invención es la número 1.
