Abstract
The present modification of the present invention comprises the design of a system for treating and reusing water resulting from aquaculture ponds of ornate fish, which allows a zero discharge to be obtained. The treatment system includes two filters, dynamic thick filters ascending in layers. The water to be treated may be directly collected from the ponds or from a storing pond and then pumped to the system by means of a centrifuge pump, first being pumped to the thick dynamic filter, where the filtration rate is controlled by means of a gate valve. The water is subsequently led to the thick filter ascending in layers for obtaining the desired quality in the water. The treatment system may be used under two conditions: for cleaning the water of a growing pond and for maintaining the water clean in reproduction ponds. The system has been tested in both cases, with satisfactory results. In the first case, the water presented an acceptable quality for five hours, and in the second case , the water was clean for a period of time of six months. Finally, this treatment system removes any discharge of wastewater, which generally affects the system where is discharged, since it is a zero discharge system. In addition, generates a substantial saving in the consumption of first use water.
