Abstract

En un sistema de comunicación en el cual una entidad (32) de puerto de enlace se enlaza a una pluralidad de entidades de infraestructura las cuales a su vez operan para comunicarse con una terminal (44) de acceso, la terminal de acceso necesita establecer primero un punto de unión de datos (DAP) con una de las entidades (34) de infraestructura. La transferencia de la DAP desde una entidad (34) de infraestructura a otra entidad (36) de infraestructura se inicia por la terminal (44) de acceso. La terminal de acceso pondera los factores tales como las condiciones de enlace con las diversas entidades de infraestructura, el tiempo desde la última transferencia de DAP y la duración del tiempo en comunicarse con la entidad de infraestructura actual antes de proceder con la transferencia de DAP.
