Abstract
Un fluido con base en agua para uso en perforación, cementación, reacondicionamiento, fractura, abandono de pozos subterráneos a través de una formación que contiene un esquisto el cual se hincha en presencia de agua. En una modalidad ilustrativa, el fluido de perforación incluye una fase continua acuosa, un agente pesante, y un agente de inhibición de hidratación de esquistos. El agente de inhibición de hidratación de esquistos debería tener la fórmula general: (ver fórmula) en la cual R es independientemente seleccionado de alquilos e hidroxialquilos que comprenden de 1 a 15 átomos de carbono, y X es un anión. El agente de inhibición de hidratación de esquistos está presente en una concentración suficiente para reducir, de manera substancial, la hinchazón de los cortes de perforación de esquistos al contacto con el fluido de perforación. El fluido de perforación puede estar formulado para incluir una amplia variedad de componentes de fluidos de perforación de base acuosa, tales como agentes pesantes, agentes de control de pérdida de fluido, agentes de suspensión, agentes viscosantes, agentes de control de reología, así como otros compuestos y materiales conocidos por un experto en la técnica. Los fluidos también pueden ser utilizados en el desecho mediante la reinyección de cortes de perforación en una formación de desecho subterránea seleccionada.
