Abstract

Se proporciona un formato de dirección para controlar apropiadamente la densidad lineal de grabación y el número de capas de grabación de información a fin de incrementar la capacidad de grabación de un medio de grabación de información tal como un disco óptico o similar en un intervalo en el cual se puede garantizar una relación necesaria de S/N. Un disco óptico incluye una capa de grabación de información que tiene una pista concéntrica o en espiral, y tiene un formato para describir una dirección de pista, que se pre-graba en la pista donde se van a adicionar los datos que se van a grabar en la capa de grabación de información. El formato incluye información de capa con respecto a la capa de grabación de información y la información de dirección con respecto a la dirección de pista. En el caso donde el disco óptico es un primer disco óptico que tiene una primera densidad de grabación, la información de capa del primer disco óptico se describe por un primer número de bits, y la información de dirección del primer disco óptico se describe por un segundo número de bits. En el caso donde el disco óptico es un segundo disco óptico que tiene una segunda densidad de grabación mayor que la primera densidad de grabación, la información de capa del segundo disco óptico se describe por un número de bits más pequeño que el primer número de bits, y la información de dirección del segundo disco óptico se describe por un número de bits mayor que el segundo número de bits. Un número total de bits de la información de capa y la información de dirección del segundo disco óptico es igual a un total del primer número de bits y el segundo número de bits.
