The present invention comprises a melon liqueur, preferably from the cantaloupe variety and a process for manufacturing the same. Said liqueur is obtained from macerating the melon juice into alcohol. The manufacture of a fruit liqueur, using Cantaloupe melon as a main raw material, allows a tasteful liqueur to be obtained by an easy macerating process at room temperature in glass or plastic containers, where the liqueur has suitable natural and sensorial characteristics.
