Abstract

Se describen modalidades que cambian la forma en que la sincronizacion de articulo es manejada y rastreada entre dos dispositivos. Los cambios a articulos son rastreados de acuerdo con grupos de propiedad bien definidos, y cada grupo es rastreado independientemente del otro. Por ejemplo, un grupo puede contener articulos de datos grandes, por ejemplo, anexos, mientras que otro grupo puede incluir propiedades altamente volatiles como una bandera de desplazamiento. La presente invencion incrementa las velocidades de sincronizacion entre un cliente y un servidor sincronizado solamente porciones seleccionadas de un articulo que han cambiado, sin verificar el cambio de cada prioridad individual dentro del articulo. Por consiguiente, si se hace un cambio a una propiedad de datos pequena (por ejemplo, bandera de desplazamiento) en un mensaje de correo electronico relativamente grande, dicho cambio no activara una descarga grande a un cliente que esta corriendo bajo un modo de almacenamiento en memoria cache, ni existira un requerimiento para alto almacenamiento y procesamiento para rastrear cada propiedad individual.
