Description

SHOVEL WITH FOLDING HANDLE FOR COLLECTING GARBAGE The present invention relates to household cleaning utensils and, in particular, refers to a garbage collection shovel with a folding handle. Historically it is well known to use the broom element as an instrument to sweep and accumulate waste, its use being associated with a second element that fulfills the function of collecting said waste commonly called shovel. Said shovel is made up of a pick-up body and a handle, linked through different types of union. It is possible to find different configurations of shovels and handles, where these vary in size and shape, both of its pick-up body and its handle, as well as of the joining systems used between pick-up body and handle.
DESCRIPTION OF THE STATE OF THE ART The publication FR2707200 DESIDERI, describes a multi-position ball joint device for cleaning utensils, which can be used on the handle or handle of a container or shovel, in inclined positions in three horizontal planes at 60 ° between them, in addition from a stable vertical position. It uses a sleeve provided with two pins which together with holes in the handle form a hinge device with two projections, this equipment can be used as a fixation to slide inside and can be locked in the plane together with the other projections as it is provided of a couple of stops. The entire handle blade assembly can be incorporated into a support provided with slots, support regions and projections fixed to the container or shovel. The publication US6412841 LORAAS, refers to a multipurpose cleaning tool system, which can be used as a pick-up shovel or receiving shovel. It includes a pick-up body, a support attached to said pick-up body, an elongated pivoting handle attached to the support and a fastening fastener attached to said handle and support to allow an individual to secure the desired position of the elongated handle with respect to the pick-up body. The support includes a pair of upstanding members having a pair of corresponding slots for slidably receiving the fastener. Patent US5367737 VOSBIKIAN, refers to a garbage collection shovel assembly having a support mounted on the rear part of the collector body to receive a pivotably mounted elongated handle, wherein the handle can rotate and lock in at least two positions . In a first position the handle and the collector body are perpendicular to collect the garbage. In a second position the handle and the collecting body are parallel to eliminate the garbage collected and for an optimal storage and display.
The patent ES1030477U FERNANDEZ ZAMORA, corresponds to a domestic waste collector of the soil that is constituted by two elements of plastic material, one in functions of handle and another in functions of collection shovel, dockable with tilting character to enable the abatement and the corresponding folded on the internal face of the blade, counting it on the back wall with a cylindrical neck affected by a longitudinal and internal opening to determine a kind of clamp to hold the handle in vertical position or use thereof, and allow its folding down elastic deformation of the neck and achieving the folding of such a handle on the inner face of the blade itself. From the observation of the small spaces available for storing toilet utensils in current buildings, which in some cases provide open spaces or small enclosed spaces destined for that purpose, and considering that these spaces have been incorporated in the interior enclosures of common family use, such as kitchen, laundry, dining room, bathrooms, etc. the need arose for the shovel to form a harmonious part of the environment, therefore many aspects are considered. Within these aspects to be evaluated are, firstly, considering that it should occupy a minimum volume, without neglecting ornamental factors, such as shape, color, texture, factors of manufacturing material, a factor linked to both the hygiene of the blade element and its strength and weight, and the cost factor directly related to the ease of accessing its market price. The disadvantages of the existing shovels previously described, refer mainly to systems of union between the picker body and the handle, of great complexity, both in its construction and in its assembly, increasing the risk factors due to faults in its correct operation. These complex systems facilitate the accumulation of waste between the small elements that make up these joint systems, which leads to irreversible damage to the joining system, and therefore, the cleaning utensil. As a drawback, it should also be mentioned that when this implement is hung from the free end of the handle, where there is generally a hole, a loop type element or an additional element installed in the wall that captures the handle of said utensil, is easily hit in the lower part of the collector body since it is not located at eye level. Therefore, the need arises to create a shovel that meets the requirements indicated above. For this reason, a new blade assembly configuration is conceived, with a built-in device that allows the handle to pivot on the pick-up body.
Another advantage of the shovel with folding handle is that it can be folded and hung from an element installed in the wall, occupying a small volume. In addition, its configuration ensures an efficient self-support on a surface, being in a depressed position. Another additional benefit of the present invention relates to the incorporation of a sector with a toothed surface on the upper edge of the body of the blade, which makes it possible to scrape the sweeping area of the broom to avoid accumulation of waste, dust and lint. The front edge of flexible material accommodates any irregularities that the surface of the floor may present, facilitating the collecting action. The collector-container body has a recessed area, posterior to the front edge, which acts as a container for the swept and collected waste. In the rear part of the collector-container body is located a pair of parallel tabs, as a reinforcement, which have individual grooves that serve as a guide for the proper displacement of external projections of the device where the handle will be adjusted. These grooves have sectors of greater amplitude whose purpose is to house the projections and secure the device with the handle in one of two possible positions, as required.
In addition, its construction preferably in plastic material can be manufactured easily by injection and its assembly does not require the use of additional tools that can damage the material, as the insertion and fitting actions, both the handle inside the device and the latter on the pivot installed in the collector body, require the application of a small external force.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The garbage collecting shovel with folding handle, object of the present invention is constituted from a pick-container body (1), a hollow cylindrical device (2), and a handle (3). The handle (3) of elongated cylindrical body has a diameter such that it allows fitting and insertion into the hollow cylindrical device (2). The pick-container body (1) is formed by a horizontal base (4) of semi-elliptical contour, which presents in the straight frontal area a transversal projection (12) of convex surface type loin, trapezoidal contour, whose lower inner base is curved concave and its outer major base is topped by a straight flange (13) of flexible material, which facilitates the adaptation of the edge of the blade on the surface from where the collection of waste will be made. The purpose of incorporating the projection (12) refers to preventing the waste collected on the base (4) from returning to the surface that has been swept. From the edge of the curved sector of the horizontal base (4) rises a slightly divergent wall (5) upwards and outwards from the body, being top and bottom topped by flat cornices (8a, 8b), orthogonal to said wall, protruding from the semi elliptical outline of the base. The surface of the upper flat cornice has a continuous indented sector (9) of parallel grooving, which covers approximately one third of the surface of said upper flat cornice (8a), whose function is to retain and release the residues adhering between the bristles of the broom when rubbing them against said sector, facilitating that the residues fall to the surface containing the blade, leaving the broom suitable for later use. The lower flat cornice (8b) has a laminar prolongation (10) centered posteriorly, of approximately rectangular contour with a curved concave exterior and rounded corners, with a central rectangular perforation (11) and a rounded outer side. The wall (5) has on the surface of its interior face in the rear central area of greater height, a vertical rectangular area (6) with a mantle transversely convex with its upper concave edge (21). On the outer face of the wall (5), and coincident with each of the major sides of the rectangular vertical zone (6), a vertical tongue (7a, 7b) is disposed, orthogonal to the wall and between the cornices (8a , 8b), in correspondence with the sides of the central perforation (11). Said tongues (7a, 7b), parallel to each other, have approximately one third of their height respective grooves (14a, 14b) for the displacement of external cylindrical projections (16a, 16b) of the cylindrical device (2). Each groove has two symmetrical circular expansion sectors, whose purpose is to house the external cylindrical projections (16a, 16b) of the device and to ensure, by this means, the device with the handle fitted therein, to the pick-up body in the desired inclination. Said outer cylindrical projections (16a, 16b) of the cylindrical device (2), are displaced towards the rear area of the mantle of the device describing an angle of approximately 120 ° between them, and close to the lower edge of said device. Orthogonally to the imaginary axis joining said projections (16a, 16b), the cylindrical device (2) has perforations (17a, 17b) with an oval contour, diametrically opposed. The first pair of expansions (15a, 15a '), those near the beginning of each groove secures the handle in a first position, called intermediate position, this occurs when the projections (16a, 16b) are housed in the first pair of expansions ( 15a, 15b) and the inclination of the handle corresponds to approximately 70 ° with respect to the horizontal. In turn, the second pair of expansions (15b, 15b ') allows the handle to be fixed in its most comfortable position of use corresponding to 90 ° with respect to the horizontal, when the projections (16a, 16b) are inserted into the second pair of expansions (15b, 15b '), in this position the user does not need to bend down avoiding possible lumbar damage. The front sector of the device (2) about half its height has a transverse recess (18) having flat walls that converge on the longitudinal edges of a cylindrical transverse channel, inside which a cylindrical shank (19) is housed. it constitutes the axis of pivoting of the device. Said cylindrical shank transversally crosses the device, it passes through the walls of each tongue (7a, 7b), its ends being fixed externally by means of respective rivets (22) in the joining area of the wall (5) with each tongue (7a, 7b). Centrally and superiorly to the transverse recess (18) of the surface of the cylindrical device (2) a small projection (20) is located which serves as a catch when the handle is pivoted to its folded down position, in this position the concave edge (21) of the rectangular vertical zone (6) acts as a rest for the cylindrical device (2). The projection (20) is located behind the rectangular vertical zone (6) of the wall (5), to ensure the folded position. In the collapsed position, the axis of the central perforation (11) coincides with the axes of the perforations (17a, 17b), allowing said perforations to be passed through an element for hanging the blade.
In the same collapsed position the lower end of the cylindrical device (2) coincides on the same plane with the rounded corners of the laminar extension (10), which generates three support points for the self-support of the blade. In order to remove the shovel from the lowered position, it is necessary to apply a small force in the opposite direction to that of abatement to allow the release of the projection (20), and when continuing with this pivoting movement the outer cylindrical projections (16a, 16b) face the grooves (14a, 14b) respectively, entering them until reaching the intermediate position of engagement when the outer cylindrical projections are housed in the first pair of expansions (15a, 15a '), and continuing to apply said force the ridges are dislodged from the first pair of expansions, sliding through the grooves until reaching the most comfortable position of use, when the projections are introduced in the second pair of expansions (15b, 15b ').
