Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para fabricar productos gaseosos combustibles a partir de materiales carbonosos, caracterizado porque consiste de los pasos de: a) proporcionar una cámara de reacción primaria y mantener una primera zona de arco eléctrico en el fondo de la cámara, y una cámara de reacción secundaria que contiene un lecho de coque incandescente, cada cámara tiene una configuración vertical; b) cargar el amterial carbonoso en la parte superior de la cámara primaria y mantener un nivel de volumen esencialmente constante del material en la cámara; c) mover continuamente el material carbonoso descendentemente en contacto con la zona del arco electrico para activar electrotérmica y fotoquímicamente la gasificación del material, y producir del mismo un gas producido crudo; d) hacer pasar el gas producido crudo hacia arriba a traves del material carbonoso que se mueve descendentemente en intercambio termico de contracorriente con el mismo para iniciar la pirólisis del material de entrada; e) quitar el gas producido crudo de la parte superior del reactor primario e introducir el mismo en la parte superior del reactor secundario; y f) hacer pasar el gas producido crudo a través del lecho de coque incandescente para producir un gas producido refinado, el cual consiste principalmente de hidrógeno y monóxido de carbono.
