Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar un reactivo antigenico útil para determinar, indirectamente, Salmonella typhi, organismos causantes de la fiebre tifoidea (FT) el cual comprende los siguientes pasos: crecer Salmonella typhi en un medio de cultivo, caracterizada porque contiene un agente quelante de fierro libre, lo cual genera un patrón específico de las preparaciones de proteínas de la membrana externa (PPME) de S. typhi, que son utilizadas como antígeno selectivo para la detección de anticuerpos sericos especificos, mediante un inmunoensayo, (prueba de ELISA)
