Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una pieza tubular roscada destinada a usarse en una junta de tubería, y que está adaptada para conectarse con otra pieza roscada para formar una conexión roscada entre las dos piezas; dicha pieza tubular comprende: un cuerpo tubular, una arista helicoidal saliente, dispuesta en el cuerpo, que forma unas roscas de tornillo que presentan unos flancos de carga configurados de manera de dejar un espacio libre entre los flancos de las roscas y los flancos de carga de las roscas de la pieza roscada, a los cuales se adapta la pieza que va a conectarse, y una superficie de contacto, situada en el cuerpo, para acoplarse con una superficie de contacto de la otra pieza roscada, y limitar la distancia a la cual una de las piezas puede entrar en la otra, en cuanto a una torsión de montaje determinada; dichas roscas se forman en el cuerpo de modo que unas roscas seleccionadas dejen, entre ellas y las roscas coincidentes de la otra pieza, un espacio libre menor que el que forman las demás roscas de la pieza y las roscas coincidentes de la otra pieza, en tal forma que las roscas seleccionadas se acoplen con las roscas coincidentes de la otra pieza antes de que las otras roscas y las roscas coincidentes de la otra pieza se acoplen para que las roscas seleccionadas se sometan a ua tensión inicial, y las roscas se sometan a una tensión más uniforme cuando se integre la conexión y se apliquen cargas exteriores adicionales.
