Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para efectuar un estudio gravimétrico de una formación terrestre caracterizado en que comprende las etapas de atravesar continuamente la formación con una herramienta de registro de datos de gravedad que tiene cuando menos dos transductores de fuerza piezoeléctricos montados dentro de la herramienta, excitar los transductores piezoeléctricos para que vibren a la frecuencia resonante característica, medios los períodos de vibración de los transductores piezoeléctricos a medida que la herramienta de registro de datos atraviesa continuamente la formación y estos períodos de vibración cambian en respuesta a la fuerza ejercida sobre el transductor piezoeléctrico por la aceleración de la gravedad y la aceleración debida al movimiento de la herramienta a lo largo de la formación y diferenciar los períodos medidos de vibración de los transductores piezoeléctricos a medida que la herramienta de registro de datos atraviesa continuamente la formación, como una medida del gradiente de gravedad a lo largo de la formación.
