Abstract

Most of the underground archeological heritage, like catacombs and hypogeum, are really dark places and if since they used for cultural visits and research purposes they need artificial lighting. On one hand they need to become safe for people who want to enjoy the view and on the other hand for preservation and conservation purposes we don't want to put all the amount of cables and nails (the fig. a, fig. b, fig. c, show the damage) that will be necessary to have the right lighting system. However our system will solve this problem. It will not attach to a place but will be put on the top of the surface, without damaging the historic value of the architectonical heritage. Last but not least the lighting system will be without electrical cables. Basically in the body of the lamp there will be a rechargeable battery that will stay without charge for a lot of time. The entire charger will run underneath the walkway, where it will be possible or inside the info point panel or in the handrail. The cable to boost the light will be visible during the recharge. The Autonomous lighting system 1, will includes battery 2, that will give power to the LED 3 that will illuminate the space, a charge battery 9 underneath the walkway.
