Abstract

The invention relates to medicine, in particular to a method for treating Herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2-induced infection.According to the invention, the method consists in carrying out the clinical and paraclinical examination of the patient and initiation of etiotropic therapy with acyclovir, and of anti-inflammatory, sedative, analgesic, local, immunomodulatory and vitamin-therapeutic treatment, at the same time within 12…24 hours after the clinical examination is carried out the acyclovir sensitivity testing of virus strains taken from herpetic vesicles, and in case of detection of acyclovir-resistant strains, it is replaced from the second day of treatment with an antiviral drug with thymidine kinase-independent action based on human recombinant interferon α-2b.
