Abstract

The invention relates to the medical equipment, in particular to controlled catheters, and may be used in neurosurgery.The controlled catheter comprises a tube (1) of elastic material, consisting of working and non-working parts, guide threads (4), connecting the working part of the tube (1) with thread tensioning mechanisms (4), mounted on the non-working part of the tube (1), and also a wound cylindrical spring (3). The end of the working part of the tube (1) is made blunt with through holes (1'). The spring (3) is placed around the working part of the tube (1). The coils of the spring (3) are made with a defined pitch, at the same time in the first coil (3') of the spring (3), on the side of the blunt end, are made four bends, uniformly placed around its circumference, for the fixation thereon of four threads (4), placed between the tube (1) and the spring (3). Additionally, in the non-working part of the tube (1) along it is installed a guide rod (2), rigidly connected to the last coil of the spring (3). The spring (3) is covered with an additional tube (5). The thread tensioning mechanisms (4) are made with the possibility of regulating the amount of tension and are equipped with control knobs (11).
