The invention relates to the agriculture and can be used in the plants selection.The summary of the invention consists in the valuation of tobacco resistance to the tomato bronze virus on the steroide glycosides content into the tobacco seeds.The tobacco plants containing steroide glycosides not less than 3% from the absolute mass of seeds are valuated as resistant to the tomato bronze virus.The technical result of the invention consists in the reduction of valuation terms of the tobacco resistance to the tomato bronze virus and in the acceleration process of the tobacco hybrides varieties selection.
